SFB Snail of Approval Nomination

The Snail of Approval is Slow Food Bali’s way of recognizing the food-related providers that are making significant contributions to the transformation of our food system to one that is good, clean and fair. The Snail of Approval is given to food producers, markets and food stores, restaurants, and other food service establishments in recognition of their contributions to the quality, authenticity and sustainability In keeping with the fundamental principals of the Slow Food movement. Slow Food Bali encourages restaurants to use more locally produced (Indonesian) ingredients in their menus. To inspire chefs and restaurant owners to optimize local ingredients, the Slow Food Bali convivium has launched a program to endorse restaurants which use at least 75% Indonesian food products. This endorsement, renewable annually, allows restaurants to display the Slow Food snail logo on their menus and publicity materials in accordance to SFB’s guidelines.
