Terra Madre Day
This was a good celebration of local food & producers. And we learned a lot about climate change and sustainable food.
Terra Madre Day is Slow Food’s annual celebration of the diversity of food traditions and production around the world, and shows how a wide range of people are using their creativity and knowledge to build a better food future.
This year was a unique celebration of TERRA MADRE 2015, which included a stimulating movie viewing, followed by a colorful “market place” of lively discussion, local products and an exquisite Dinner of traditional vegan cuisine. We met with local producers, sharpened our viewpoint on what responsible local consumption means in our Bali context, and became better informed participants on issues of our food & environment.
