A group of 12 discovered the art & science of how “living” food can revitalize your body, clear your mind and give your energy level a boost. Utilizing organic plant foods, this informative program showed us how to combine fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds into richly nutritious, deeply satisfying snacks and meals.
Eating a predominantly raw food diet can help strengthen the immune system, add critical hydration, aid digestion, help balance the body’s pH level, and assist in maintaining your optimal body weight. Special attention in this program was given to broader uses of fresh local ingredients.
About our hosts
Avara Yaron is a dedicated lifelong foodie, and a living food chef for the past 5 years. She owned and operated a living food catering company in Oregon before moving to Bali in 2010 to create Living Food Lab.
Living Food Lab is a teaching kitchen that educates people on the benefits of a diet rich in living foods and the impact of their food choices on their health and the planet. Located initially at the Green School, and now with a new location at HUBUD, Ubud, Living Food Lab offers casual café meals, classes and catering throughout the island. Living Food Lab began with the simple idea of adding value to the world by changing people’s relationship with food. “Save the world one meal at a time!”
9:30 – 10:00: Arrival, Registration & Welcome Drink
10:00 – 10:30: Introduction to Living Foods and Intuitive Nutrition.
10:30 – 11:00: Setting up your Living Food Kitchen? Learn key kitchen tools used in living food prep, what you do & don’t want in your kitchen, along with exciting basic techniques.
11:00 – 12:30: Demo & hands-on program to create a delicious lunch menu.
12:30 – 1:30: Sumptuous 3-course Living Lunch (with group discussion). Menu to be presented shortly.
