Celebrating Padang Food

Slow Food Bali offered this second time featured event at Locavore, in Ubud.

The Locavore kitchen team had journeyed around the archipelago in search of traditional ingredients and recipes for a year.  In this quarterly series of events, they presented five dishes from a classic Indonesian cuisine matched with five others in contemporary interpretation.

Padang food, the cuisine of the Minangkabau of West Sumatra, is one of Southeast Asia’s most popular choices. The event menu featured classic Padang dishes and, as always, lots of delicious extras!
